Design Concept

SigenStor is an AI-optimized 5-in-One energy storage system suitable for both domestic and small commercial applications. Its versatility caters to all kinds of energy usage scenarios.

SigenStor differentiates itself from the industry by many noteworthy advancements, such as the highest safety standards, streamlined installation and commissioning, and seamless experience across the board.

Sigenergy, an industry-leading innovator, offers the world its 5-in-One energy solution—SigenStor. Its modular design brings ultra simplicity to installation. The flexible combination of battery packs provides freedom for your energy storage plan. And the AI-empowered energy management helps optimize energy usage and savings. Choose Sigenergy, and discover the extraordinary.

SigenStor has the world’s first 5-in-One design, integrating EMS, EV Charger, Battery Pack, Battery PCS, and PV Inverter in one device. This means less wiring trouble and more space saved. The highly integrated system can easily satisfy the needs of multiple scenarios.

mySigen App is the world’s first energy app empowered by GPT-4o, which provides consistent user experience on all platforms. It serves as a smart energy assistant that offers your all-round functionality and support.

The stackable design and quick connectors make the 15-min installation time feasible when executed by professional installers on a 1+3 system (one controller + three battery packs). For detailed installation guide, please watch the SigenStor installation video.

Commissioning itself takes only 5 minutes. Start by scanning the QR code on any SigenStor device. System will auto-network and software will update in merely 2 minutes. mySigen App will then initiate system self-diagnosis to ensure SigenStor is connected correctly and the system is ready to go. Watch the commissioning video.

5-layer battery protection eliminates safety risks from the inside. These measures include:

  • Full coverage temperature monitoring: Take Sigen BAT 8.0 as an example, each battery pack is equipped with 7 temperature sensors for cell-level detection.
  • Internal fire extinguisher: Once activated, it releases chemicals to neutralize thermal runaways.
  • Aerogel insulated pads: When one battery cell reaches 700℃, the insulation pad has an insulation ranking of 450℃, limiting the temperature of adjacent battery cells to 250℃.
  • Decompression valve: When the pressure reaches 5 kPa, the valve opens and discharges gas outward to reduce inner pack pressure.
  • High-temp. resistance insulated pads: It has excellent insulating properties from -40°C to 200°C and can quickly form a ceramic-like shell above 500°C, preventing direct structural damage from flame.

In addition, 5-layer system protection precludes safety hazards from multiple energy sources, which include PV disconnection protection, PV input safety protection, Grid fault protection, DC bus protection, and Arc fault circuit interrupter.

SigenStor adopts 280 Ah LFP battery cells in both 8 kWh and 5 kWh Sigen batteries. Take 8 kWh battery pack as an example: the overall battery pack voltage is about 32.85 V, well below human-safe voltage. In comparison, conventional solution uses 100 Ah battery cells or smaller ones connected in series, pushing the battery voltage to be over 91 V, bringing more risks.

Longer lifespan is another distinct advantage of 280 Ah LFP battery cells over traditional 100 Ah or 50 Ah battery cells.

Unlike other solutions of series connection, where any failure of a single battery may cause systematic breakdown, SigenStor adopts the parallel connection approach with a battery optimizer inside each battery pack. These pack-level optimizers can reduce mismatch loss. Aged or failed batteries will not impact other batteries’ performance. This enables flexible mix of packs with different battery SOH/SOC and cell models.

When paired with Sigen Energy Gateway, the system can switch to backup mode in a flash, and SigenStor will supply continuous energy during a power outage. The Energy Gateway can also connect to a diesel generator, providing extra backup.

SigenStor is designed to support fully off-grid applications, making it an ideal solution for properties without access to the grid. Whether it’s for a rural home or a remote business, SigenStor delivers 100% of its rated power output even when operating off-grid, something most systems cannot achieve. For example, while a typical 10 kW system may only deliver 3.3 kW off-grid, SigenStor consistently provides the full 10 kW, ensuring reliable power without compromise.

The Sigen EV DC Charging module supports up to 25 kW charging power, the first time in a home energy system. On average, 1-hour of charging by SigenStor EVDC can keep an EV running for 150 km.

What’s more, V2X bi-directional charging is ready. In V2H mode, EVs can feed energy to your home appliances while in V2G mode EVs can take part in peak load shifting and VPP scheduling, greatly enhancing grid stability and flexibility. However, V2X functionality is limited by the EV’s capabilities. Once the relevant standards are published, V2X feature can be upgraded through the OTA. For the official support of vehicle models and support timelines, please refer to future announcement made on the official website.

Compared to mainstream cabinet design, Sigenergy on-grid solutions support maximum of 20 SigenStor connected in parallel with max. energy capacity of 960 kWh. The total PV capacity supported is up to 800 kWd.c. The parallel connection of SigenStor offers flexible and precise energy storage capacity choices.

Sigen PV Inverter

Sigen PV Inverter converts DC solar power to AC power and supports home loads when the sun shines. The main application scenario for the Sigen PV Inverter is for new solar systems that do not require batteries. Learn more

Sigen Hybrid Inverter

Sigen Hybrid Inverter not only converts DC solar power to AC power when the sun shines, but also supports future BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) expansion. When batteries are added to the system, the Sigen Hybrid Inverter performs the functions of an inverter, a PCS (Power Conversion System), and an EMS (Energy Management System). Learn more

SigenStor is the next-generation home energy solution that gives you the power to fully harness solar energy for both instant and later use. Its flexible product portfolio choices along with storage expansion capabilities allow it to cater to all kinds of application scenarios.

PV+ ESS application:

In the scenario where the grid power supply is stable and no backup power is needed, when the solar power is abundant, excess energy is used to charge the battery. If the solar power becomes insufficient, loads are supplied with energy through battery discharge. This way, the system can help achieve the maximum self-consumption of solar energy and improve user benefits.Sigenergy PV+ESS system also has an optional EVDC fast charger integrated, providing a complete energy system for all application scenarios. In addition, up to 10 SigenStor can be connected in parallel to form one large system.

PV only application:

In the scenario where only PV modules are installed and no ESS is required, all the power generated by the PV modules will be supplied to home loads. Grid power will only be pulled to home loads when solar power is insufficient.

Battery ready application:

Mainly used in the scenario where PV modules are installed with future ESS expansion intention. In this scenario, future EVDC charger & BESS expansion could be fulfilled.

Retrofit application:

In the scenario where a grid-tied solar power system is already in place, and there is excess solar energy, SigenStor can be added to store that excess energy for later use when solar power becomes insufficient or unavailable, especially during the evening.

In this case, two Sigen Sensors are required for the system retrofit. One is installed between the main power panel and the already installed inverter, and the other is installed between the main power panel and the already installed CT sensor.

Whole home backup application:

Mainly to support uninterrupted power supply to all home loads if grid fails. Sigen Gateway can detect a power outage and immediately switch the power supply from the grid to the battery without shutting down appliances. And when the grid power recovers, it automatically switches back. A DG (Diesel Generator) can also be added to the system, providing extra security for off-grid electricity usage.

Partial home backup application:

Mainly to support uninterrupted power supply to only critical home loads if the grid fails. When a power outage occurs, Sigen Gateway switches the power supply from the grid to the battery. In this case, non-critical home loads will be automatically disconnected from the system to ensure enough energy is supplied to critical loads.
